The 3rd Africa Rice Congress recommended AfricaRice and its partners to facilitate “rice knowledge exchange to achieve greater and more rapid impact across the rice value chain” to strengthen the rice sector.

 

With increasing demand for AfricaRice to scale out its technologies, especially within and beyond its rice sector development hubs, it needs comprehensive knowledge management support to respond to the various categories and resources of users.

 

The Rice eHub  (www.ricehub.org) provides online access to information and documentation on ‘scalable technologies’ that have already been developed, tried and tested in an African rice-farming context and proven their worth. It empowers national partners to upload information about activities conducted within the rice sector development hubs.

 

Reference books and training manuals are available via the Rice eHub, along with technical details of some tools and AfricaRice’s collection of educational videos.
