National Experts Committee

The National Experts Committee (NEC) is constituted of the Directors General of the National Agricultural Research Institutes of AfricaRice member countries. The NEC serves as the technical advisory body to the Council of Ministers.

As the technical advisory body of the Council of Ministers, it reviews all dossiers to be tabled during the ordinary sessions of the AfricaRice COM and provides its recommendations to the Council.

The NEC meets once a year, one of the meetings is held during the ordinary sessions of the biennial meeting of COM.
